1. - $10 million
SIESTA KEY
A waterfront home on the northern tip of Siesta Key sold in February for $10 million, the second-highest sale price for a residential property in Sarasota County in two years.

The six-bedroom property, located at 3410 Flamingo Ave., is called “Snook Inn” for its Old Florida resort-like feel, according to a release from Michael Saunders & Co, whose agents represented both the buyer and seller. The sellers were Philip and Brooke Callanen, and the buyers were Kenneth and Grace Solinsky, of Bedford, N.H.

The more than 6,000-square-foot home, with a deep water, double-vessel boathouse, is on nearly two acres with 500 feet that front Sarasota Bay. The home’s features include an antique pine-paneled library, deluxe custom mill work, oversized waterfront verandas and a one-bedroom guest suite attached to the boathouse. A resort-style swimming pool is outside, in addition to shuffleboard courts and two bayfront docks.The architect was Clifford Scholz, and the builder was Michael Collingwood.

2. - $7 million
HARBOR ACRES
In March, Mollie Nelson, of Sarasota, sold her home at 1452 Hillview Drive to Mark Standish, of Sarasota, for $7 million. Built in 1997, it has five bedrooms, five baths, one half-bath, a pool and 6,728 square feet of living area.

3. - $5 million
CASEY KEY
Rosie O’Donnell, the 51-year-old television personality and comedian, closed on a 4,647-square-foot Casey Key beachfront home in October.

O’Donnell purchased the home, which was remodeled in 2009, for $5 million from William and Donna Brian, of Berkley, Mich., who bought the home in 2005 for $4.6 million.

The couple owns another property on Casey Key, as well as in Michigan.

O’Donnell’s Key West-style beachfront home has large French doors that open to views of the beach. It also features such as amenities as French oak floors, custom carpentry and state-of-the-art appliances such as a professional Wolf range and double oven, Sub-Zero refrigerator, two built-in Sub-Zero wine coolers with 150-bottle capacity, a built-in Miele coffee station and two Miele dish washers.

The home also includes a 36-foot-long covered boat slip less than a mile away at the Casey Key Marina and Yacht Club, Hedge said.

4 - $4,875,000
SOUTH COCOANUT BAYOU
Richard and Melissa Hall sold their home at 725 Mangrove Point Road in July to Steven Seymour, of Sarasota, for $4,875,000. Built in 1982, it has six bedrooms, six baths, two half-baths, a pool and 9,039 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $4 million in 2012.

5 - $4.25 million
SARASOTA BEACH
Richard and Marcia Holton, of Sarasota, sold their home at 220 Tenacity Lane in March to William Knapp, William Knapp II and Gerard Neugent, trustees, of West Des Moines, Iowa, for $4.25 million. Built in 1999, it has three bedrooms, three baths and 3,467 square feet of living area.

6 - $4.15 million
HARBOR ACRES
In December, Christopher and Aimee Cogan sold the house at 1384 Harbor Drive to Gary Butler for $4.15 million. Built in 1996, the home has five bedrooms, six baths, two half-baths and 4,027 square feet of living area. It last sold for $2.7 million in 2003.

7 - $4 million
THE TOWER RESIDENCES
Barbara Fried sold the Unit 1702 at The Tower Residences, 35 Watergate Drive, in May to Joe Henson for $4 million. Built in 2003, the condominium has three bedrooms, four baths, one half-bath and 5,275 square feet of living area.

8 - $3.8 million
SOUTH COCOANUT BAYOU
In April, Samuel and Sacha Rosenfeld, of Sarasota, sold their home at 4315 Mangrove Place to Asepsis LLC for $3.8 million. Built in 2005, it has six bedrooms, six baths, three half-baths, a pool and 7,535 square feet of living area.

9 - $3,776,200
HARBOR ACRES
Rainer and Debora Blomster, trustees, of Sarasota, sold the home at 1540 Hillview Drive in April to Jeffery Kints, of Ontario, Canada, for $3,776,200. Built in 2000, it has five bedrooms, four baths, a pool and 7,074 square feet of living area.

10 - $3,725,000
SAN REMO ESTATES
In October, Bart and Karin Leereveld, of Sarasota, sold their home at 1447 Tangier Way to Richard and Melissa Hall, of Sarasota, for $3,725,000. Built in 2008, it has four bedrooms, four baths, one half-bath, a pool and 5,040 square feet of living area.
