Cannons Marina to offer $500 Freedom Fest prize

Longboat Key’s annual Freedom Fest will take place July 4, and residents and visitors will enjoy a quarter-mile parade followed by a celebration in Bicentennial Park.

New to the parade this year, David Miller, owner of Cannons Marina, will be offering a $500 prize for the most patriotic business entry in the parade.

Last year’s parade had just three business floats, and for the $500 prize to be awarded, there must be at least 10 business entries.
