Girls Inc. recently participated in the tradition of women’s quilting bees, popular in the mid-19th century. The girls socialized as they expressed their creativity by using watercolor to create paper quilt squares.

The girls then joined their squares together into a “quilt” to symbolize the strength and meaning of community.
