North River National gears up for softball

North River National Little League will begin holding registration for its fall softball league Aug. 21. 

Registration will be held from 6-8 p.m., Aug. 21 and 28 and 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., Aug. 22 and 29 at Buffalo Creek Park, 8100 Erie Road, Palmetto. North River National and North River American are the only two little leagues that offer softball in Manatee County.  The leagues are open to all Manatee County girls ages 6-14 regardless of where they live.
