The following information was gathered from incident and arrest reports obtained from the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

BRADEN PINES
 May 1

5 a.m. — 10300 block of Oak Run Drive. Recovered stolen vehicle. The complainant reported a suspicious vehicle parked outside of his residence. It was later determined that the vehicle had been reported stolen in Sarasota.
 
COUNTRY RETREAT
 Reported May 4

4:07 p.m. — 900 block of Faith Circle East. ID theft. The victim stated she and her husband have been receiving magazines they did not order. An unknown person reportedly used their names and had them sent to their residence. The victim stated she has received a number of bills for the magazines. She also stated that she believes the suspect may be her ex-husband’s girlfriend.
 
GATES CREEK
 May 1

8:30 a.m. — 11200 block of Second Avenue East. Residential burglary. The victim reported unknown person(s) forcibly entered her residence and stole two bottles of prescription medication valued at $400. There are no suspects at this time, but eight latent print cards were obtained.
 
GREENBROOK
 May 4

10:05 p.m. — 15000 block of Searobbin Drive. Assault. The victim stated that his son became verbally abusive toward him and threatened to punch him. After the incident, the defendant fled the scene on foot, but returned shortly thereafter. The defendant was arrested and transported to the Juvenile Assessment Center.
 
GREYHAWK LANDING
 Reported April 28

12:13 p.m. — 12500 block of Cara Cara Loop. Burglary to a vehicle. Unknown person(s) shattered the front passenger window of the victim’s vehicle. Once inside, the person(s) stole $2,002 worth of property. There are no suspects at this time.

MYAKKA
 Reported April 23

1:29 p.m. — 29500 block of Saddlebag Trail. Burglary. The complainant reported an unknown person removed a weed trimmer from the back of his truck.
 
PERIDIA
 April 28

1 p.m. — 4700 block of Sand Trap Street Circle. Burglary. An unknown suspect entered the victim’s detached garage, which had been left open, without his permission. Once inside, the suspect removed $1,766 worth of property.
 
WINDSONG ACRES
 Reported May 4

8:10 p.m. — 1200 block of 111th Street East. Petit theft. The victim reported that her driver license had been stolen. She stated she doesn’t know who may have taken it or when the incident occurred. The victim also stated she doesn’t believe the incident occurred at work.
 
OTHER
 Reported May 3

9 a.m. — 3900 block of 57th Drive East. Burglary to a vehicle. Unknown person(s) reportedly broke into the victim’s unlocked van and removed a portable DVD player, a cell phone and a girl’s purse with $38 inside. Because of the time lapse and the contamination by the family during the week, the vehicle was not processed for prints.
 
May 4
2:45 p.m. — The intersection of Lockwood Ridge Road and State Road 70. Burglary. The victim was driving west on State Road 70 when he stopped at a red light. While stopped, the suspect and an unknown person ran up to the victim’s vehicle. The suspect opened the victim’s car door and started to hit him. The victim’s cell phone fell out of the car and the suspect took it. The two suspects then fled in an unknown direction.
5:15 p.m. — 2911 53rd Ave. E. (Wal-Mart). Grand theft. An adult female and two juvenile females reportedly walked into the store and concealed multiple items in their purses. All three suspects were confronted by store security and later arrested. The suspects were also given trespass warnings.
