Flip of the switch
9:37 a.m. — 600 block of Longboat Club Road. Suspicious Circumstance. A woman told police that someone had gone onto the roof of her private penthouse and shut off the breaker to one of her air-conditioning units. The woman was upset because she had to pay a service technician to come out and flip the switch on her circuit breaker. Only the maintenance crew and the manager have access to the roof, and she thinks the manager has it out for her because they have had disagreements in the past.

Rage against the machine
7:08 p.m. — 6900 block of GMD. Vandalism. A man told police that as he was approaching his car in the Broadway beach-access parking lot, he yelled at four kids who were leaning against his vehicle. As they moved away, they began to hit the fence in front of the vehicle with a crow bar, causing $50 worth of damage to the town fence. The hoodlums could not be found — but are advised to try mending some fences.

Silence is golden
7:23 p.m. — 500 block of Ranger Lane. Disturbance. A woman reported that her neighbor repeatedly yelled and flailed his arms at her for no reason. The neighbor told police that he and his neighbor have had issues since he moved in eight years ago. The two were told that if they didn’t have anything nice to say to each other, it would be best not to say anything at all.
