The following information was gathered from incident and arrest reports obtained from the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.
LAKEWOOD RANCH
May 7
9 a.m. — 6500 block of Flycatcher Lane. Vehicle burglary. Unknown persons entered the locked truck by unknown means and went through the victim’s property in the cab area of the truck. The suspects removed the victim’s brief case and left it outside the driver’s door in the bushes. At the time of the report, nothing was found missing.

May 5
5:01 p.m. — 2900 block of 54th Drive East. Burglary. An unknown suspect entered the victim’s apartment without permission. There was no forced entry. Once inside, the suspect took property valued at $2,205. The victim stated that someone took the rental vehicle without permission. The vehicle was located, but because of inconsistencies in the victim’s statements, a stolen vehicle reported was not taken. The vehicle was impounded for safekeeping.
5:30 p.m. — 5400 block of University Parkway. Retail grand theft. The subject was observed concealing items and exiting the store without paying for the merchandise. The subject also was given a trespass warning from Home Depot’s loss prevention employee.
10:49 p.m. — 8300 block of Lockwood Ridge Road (Wal-Mart). Fraudulent use of credit card. The victim’s car was burglarized and her wallet was stolen by an unknown person. A credit card from the wallet was used at four or five locations and a total of $450 was charged on the card.
May 7
9 a.m. — 7365 52nd Place East (Beall’s). Grand theft. Unknown person(s) entered the department store and sole about $1,900 worth of jewelry from the jewelry department.
10 a.m. — 6900 block of 74th Street Court East. Burglary. Unknown persons entered the home by breaking an east side window attached to the laundry room. Once inside, the suspect went to the upstairs bedrooms and ransacked them before entering the master bedroom closet, ransacking it and turning over the bed and dressers.
May 6
3:55 p.m. — 3900 block of State Road 70 East. Habitual traffic offender. The offender was arrested for operating a motor vehicle after being deemed a habitual traffic offender. Furthermore, he had an outstanding arrest warrant out of Monroe County for the same offense.
RIVER CLUB
May 6
10:30 a.m. — 6200 block of River Club Boulevard (Braden River Middle School). Theft. An unknown suspect stole the victim’s cell phone from her backpack while in physical education class.
