Now one of the largest therapeutic riding centers in the country, InStride Equine Assisted Therapy hosted the grand opening of its expanded facility Wednesday, Oct. 7, in Nokomis.
The 76-acre site includes a new 28-stall barn with administrative-and-therapy offices, a 110-foot-by-200-foot covered riding arena, a family resource center and a caretaker’s house.
A combination of 200 volunteers, physical and occupational therapists and staff provide care for more than 250 riders, 14 horses and the land.
