The following information was gathered from incident and arrest reports obtained from the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

BARRINGTON RIDGE
 Sept. 4

1:51 a.m. — 5900 block of 43rd Court East. Vehicle burglary. Three suspects entered the vehicle through an unlocked door. The victim’s brother walked outside and saw them in the driveway. The suspects then fled on foot northward on 43rd Court East. The victim’s wallet with her Bank of America debit card was taken as well as her work I.D. Other items taken included $10 cash and a pink eye contact case.

BRADEN WOODS
 Sept. 2

8:20 a.m. — 5900 block of 91st Street East. Burglary. The complainant suspected someone was breaking into the neighbor’s home. He saw a bedroom window open and the blinds moving in the wind. The complainant went back into his home to call the sheriff’s office. He came back out after calling and saw the window was closed and a person leaving by the front door. The complainant said he did not believe the individual should be in the home.

LAKEWOOD RANCH
 Sept. 3

8 a.m. — 8300 block of Market Street. Identity theft. Unknown person(s) obtained the victim’s information and debit card number. The person(s) then ordered pizza from Lakewood Ranch Pizza Hut and also twice from the Pizza Hut on Manatee Avenue. The victim stated the person who signed for the transaction used her name.
9 p.m. — 1500 block of Lakewood Ranch Boulevard. Theft. The victim left her wallet on the counter at Walgreens, went to her vehicle and left. After several minutes, she realized she had left her wallet at the store and returned. When she went back, it was not there. She questioned the clerk, but the clerk did not notice the wallet on the counter.

Sept. 4
9:15 a.m. — 13000 block of Adventure Place. Criminal mischief. The complainant said unknown person(s) vandalized the picnic table area and women’s restroom with permanent marker.
4:44 p.m. — 6200 block of Rosefinch Court. Uttering forged checks. The victim reported an unknown person wrote his checks, forged them and cashed them. The victim already had reported losing a book of checks. He noticed all his money in his checking account was gone.

RIVER LANDINGS BLUFF
 Sept. 4

11:30 a.m. — 5900 block of 55th Drive East. Vehicle burglary. Sometime during the day, unknown person(s) entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and stole her purse from inside. There were no suspects or witnesses. Two latent prints were recovered from the vehicle’s exterior door.

TARA
 Sept. 3

5 p.m. — 6700 block of Tara Boulevard. Theft. Unknown person(s) cut the security seal on the meter box. Once the seal was cut, the box door was opened and the meter removed. The lawn maintenance company arrived on the morning of Sept. 2 and found the meter missing. They called the CDD and then FPL was notified of the missing meter. The meter was replaced and FPL does not need a case number for the theft.
 

OTHER
 Sept. 1

2:45 p.m. — 5200 block of Office Park Boulevard. Scheme to defraud. The reporting party stated the suspect falsified expense account for an ongoing basis. The suspect allegedly fraudulently used the company’s credit and expense accounts for the suspect’s personal gain.

Sept. 2
Noon — 6000 block of 28th Street East. Grand theft. Unknown person(s) took the victim’s trailer while it was parked in the grassy field outside next to the business’ storage garage. The victim said the trailer had two locks on it. There were no signs of broken locks at the scene.

Sept. 4
1:21 p.m. — 2800 block of University Parkway (Orion Bank). Uttering a forged check. The suspect entered Orion Bank and attempted to cash a fraudulent check. The check had been reproduced. Bank employees attempted to stall the suspect until law enforcement arrived but were unsuccessful. The individual fled in an unknown direction.
