Corey Hanewich went 2-for-3 with a stolen base and two runs scored; and Rachel Slowik went 1-for-3 with a sacrifice bunt, two RBIs and a run scored to lead the way for Lakewood at the plate. Dana Hutchins went 1-for-3 with a double, two RBIs and a run scored; and Taylor Newton went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, an RBI and two runs scored.

Riverview 4, Braden River 2

Hannah Loyer and Trisha Zuknick allowed a combined four runs on three hits while striking out 12 and walking nine, as the host Lady Pirates fell on Senior Night.

Lauren Powell went 1-for-3 with a double, a stolen base and an RBI; and Nicole Tira went 1-for-3 with an in park home run to lead the way for Braden River at the plate.

BOYS TENNIS

The Lakewood Ranch High boys tennis team scored 17 points to win the Class 4A-District 10 tournament. Braden River finished second with 11 points.

Cooper Maxwell (No. 1), Arsav Mohanty (No. 2), Arnav Mohanty (No. 3) and Drew Christianson (No. 5) each earned district singles titles. Arsav Mohanty and Kevin Rechcigl teamed up in No. 2 doubles to defeat Braden River’s Will Jay and Tarik Jenkins.

GIRLS TENNIS

The Lady Mustangs scored 15 points to finish one point behind Venice in the Class 4A-District 10 tournament.

Katherine Pyne (No. 1) and Alyssa Corcoran (No. 2) both earned district singles victories before teaming up for a 6-1, 6-1 victory in No. 1 doubles.

SOFTBALL

Sarasota 7, Lakewood Ranch 3

Dana Hutchins hit her first high school home run and finished with three RBIs as the host Lady Mustangs fell on Senior Night.

Jessica Cadorette went 1-for-2 with a double, a walk and a run scored to lead the way for Braden River at the plate.

TRACK AND FIELD

The Lakewood Ranch High girls track team scored 84 points to win the Wally Keller Invitational at Charlotte High School. Braden River finished 16^th with 10 points. The Lakewood boys team finished 16^th with 12 points followed by Braden River with 10 points.

Kaycee Wells and Trisha Zuknick allowed a combined 14 hits while striking out four and walking three.

Wells went 1-for-2 with a double, a walk and a run scored and Lauren Powell went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI to lead the way for the Lady Pirates at the plate.
