WEEKEND BEST BET: Taste of Winefest

Florida Winefest and Auction — Taste of Winefest is an al fresco food, wine, beer and ale tasting that will feature 20 Sarasota caterers and restaurateurs who will showcase their signature dishes.

The event will take place from noon to 4 p.m., Sunday, April 25, at Phillippi Estate Park, one of Sarasota’s historic attractions, and will be held beneath a tent to keep sippers and strollers cool. Guests can meander amongst automobiles from Suncoast Motorsports, Porsche Club, Ferrari Club, the British Car Club of Sarasota and the Café Racers, and enjoy music and vocals by Sarasota’s Wayne DeLair.

The wine tasting is $15 per person ($7.50 tax deductible) and open to the public. Food tickets will be sold in $1 increments.
