During a recent walkathon at Freedom Elementary School, students met their fundraising goal, raising more than $10,000.

Monies raised from the annual event, which was held April 23, will be used to pay for Freedom’s annual FunCat Day next spring, as well as student planners and other student incentives.

After walking laps around the soccer field, students gathered to enjoy a frozen ice treat. This year’s event was themed “Walk on the Wild Side.”
