Having recently been bestowed knighthood by the Italian Republic, the Sarasota Sister City of Treviso, Italy, honored Cavallere Richard Storm with a luncheon Wednesday, April 21, at Mattison’s 41.

In his role as honorary vice-consul of Italy for southwest Florida, Storm has been instrumental in the success of the kinship between the sister cities. Storm was nominated for knighthood by Consul General Marco Rocca.

“We are recognizing what we have done over the last 15 years in helping to promote ties and cultural exchanges between Sarasota and Italy,” Storm said.
