CAMP SPOTLIGHT: SUP Paddleboarding Camp

The Sarasota Observer stopped by Spanish Point, in Osprey, to check in with youngsters who recently have taken up the sport of paddleboarding.

What’s the best part about paddleboarding?

“I never really knew what it was. I think it’s really fun to go around to see the different places.”

“I like seeing all the things, like dolphins, in the water and going through the mangrove tunnels.”

“I mostly like going though the mangroves and seeing fish, oyster beds and stingrays.”

“I like doing a lot of tricks – riding the waves and standing on the back of the board and doing circles. I surf as it is, and I expected this to be a good time.”
