Manatee County School District officials tonight will discuss how they plan to comply with the class-size amendment at a public meeting tonight.
The meeting, which starts at 5:45 p.m. in the school district’s administration building, 215 Manatee Ave W., will be the first of two meetings mandated by state legislators.
The class-size amendment caps classrooms at 18 students up through third grade, at 22 in fourth through eight grades and at 25 for high school classes.
The school board’s regular meeting will follow the public hearing.
