Fifth Third launches school supply drive

In partnership with the Education Foundation of Sarasota County, Fifth Third Bank has announced its second “Back to School” supply drive, a project to provide local schoolchildren with free backpacks and school supplies, to held Aug. 16 through Sept. 3.

The bank will collect donations of school supplies through collection bins placed in its Sarasota County locations. Suggested items are pencils, spiral notebooks, crayons, washable glue or glue sticks, tissues, hand sanitizer and sandwich bags. Last year, more than 1,000 individual backpacks full of school supplies were collected, donated and distributed to students throughout South Florida.
