Mitchell Pressman, of Olney, Md., sold Unit A-801 at the 145-unit L’Ambiance, 401 Longboat Club Road, to C. Warren and Mariana Olanow, of Rye, N.Y., for $2 million. Built in 1994, the three-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bath condominium has 3,220 square feet of living space. The unit sold pre-construction for $1.02 million in January 1993.
The sale was the largest of the seven transactions that occurred during the week of Aug. 9 through Aug. 13 on Longboat, Lido, St. Armands and Bird keys and the sole sale to exceed $1 million. Of the week’s sales, five occurred on Longboat Key, including two in Manatee County, and two took place on St. Armands Key.
Islander Club
Maxine Goldenson and Loreen Arbus, of Los Angeles, sold Apartments 95-N and 96-N at the 140-unit Islander Club, 2295 Gulf of Mexico Drive, to Donald and Ann DeCarbo, of New Castle, Pa., for $600,000.
The units, which are listed together under the same parcel number on the Sarasota County Property Appraiser’s website, have a total four bedrooms, four bathrooms and 2,470 square feet of living space. They were constructed in 1970.
Goldenson and Arbus are the daughters of the late Isabelle and Leonard Goldenson, former ABC president.
Inn on the Beach
George and Cynthia Noble, 828 Evergreen Way, sold Unit 3506 at the 221-unit Inn on the Beach, 220 Sands Point Road, to Alfred Rose, of Sarasota, for $425,000. The 725-square-foot unit was built in 1982. It last sold for $350,000 in December 2003.
Longbeach Village
Shan Mohammed, of Sarasota, sold his home at 6840 Hughes St. in the Longbeach Village to Alaie Hossein, of Windermere, for $425,000. Built in 1970 and remodeled in 1984, the 2,053-square-foot home has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It last sold for $209,000 in November 1994.
Arbomar
Ronald and Martha Malone, of Bellevue, Ky., sold Unit 704 at the 32-unit Arbomar, 4485 Gulf of Mexico Drive, to George and Susan Romanoff, of Washington, Pa., for $370,000. The 1,175-square-foot unit was built in 1973 and has two bedrooms and one bathroom. It last sold for $325,000 in September 2000.
St. Armands
Susan Murphy, of Delaware, Ohio, sold the home at 355 N. Washington Drive in the St. Armands Division of the John Ringling Estates to A.M.A. Enterprises LLC, a Kentucky limited-liability company with a Louisville, Ky., address, for $425,000. Built in 1959, the home has two bedrooms, two bathrooms and 1,758 square feet of living space. It last sold for $630,000 in June 2004.
Also in the St. Armands Division of the John Ringling Estates, Deutsche Bank National Trust Co., as trustee, sold the home at 255 N. Washington Drive to Richard and Lisa Fitts, of Monroe, Conn., for $409,900. The 2,244-square-foot home was built in 1962 and has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a swimming pool. It last sold for $336,600 in April.
