The Christmas cookies just kept coming through the doors. Our Lady of Mount Carmel held its fifth annual Christmas Cookies for the Troops extravaganza in mid-November. More than 50 volunteers helped to pack the cookies, filling 31 large cartons that contained 11,160 cookies. The cartons weighed in at 618 pounds and were mailed to 14 locations in Afghanistan, one in Iraq and one in Kuwait.
