Five Points Park improvements unveiled

Downtown residents awoke this morning to see the privacy fence surrounding Selby Five Points Park gone and its new improvements unveiled.

The concrete curb that surrounded the park is gone. New sod, landscaping, a brick walkway, a performance stage and sculptures have been added.

A holly tree draped with Christmas lights now sits in the middle of the park, and it will be lit as part of a holiday lighting ceremony that begins at 4 p.m. Saturday.
