Lighting of the Circle lights holiday cheer

The annual tree lighting ceremony that has taken place on St. Armands Circle for the last 11 years took place this past Friday, Dec. 3 at 6 PM. St. Armands Holiday Night of Lights was a big success drawing hundreds of people to the circle to enjoy an evening of holiday fun.

After making his way around the circle with Mrs. Claus in his reindeer sleigh, Santa lit the four story tall tree that now shines brightly on St. Armands Circle. Once the tree was lit, Santa took his place in his chair and took pictures with children who were desperate to discuss their Christmas lists.

The Holiday Night of Lights also included a performance by Booker High School dancers, street musicians, extended hours for shopping and dining.
