Every week at Sunday services at Christ Church of Longboat Key, Presbyterian, Building Committee members Bill Buckley and John Pol give the congregation an update on construction of the new church building, at 6400 Gulf of Mexico Drive.

“The reaction is continual excitement,” Buckley says. “They can’t wait to go in.”

According to Buckley, construction has proceeded on schedule because there has been little rain. Roof trusses will be shipped in December, and the roof will go up on the building in January or February. Completion of the approximately $3 million building is scheduled for next summer.
