+ Doug Parks joins Michael Saunders’ St. Armands office
Doug Parks has joined the St. Armands II office, 330 John Ringling Blvd., of Michael Saunders & Co. Parks graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in engineering and spent seven years in construction management and another 15 years in sales and marketing. He moved in 2004 to Sarasota and obtained his Florida real-estate license.

Parks was recognized in 2009 in Prudential’s President’s Circle, an honor awarded to the top 3% of agents within the company’s nationwide network. He specializes in waterfront and boating properties on Longboat, Lido, St. Armands and Bird keys.

+ Lefner joins Island Real Estate rental department
John Lefner has joined Island Real Estate’s rental department as its new owner coordinator. Lefner was the CEO and owner of Rely Health Care, a home-care company in upstate New York. He sold the business in 2005 and became a Realtor. He and his wife, Ann, became full-time Anna Maria Island residents this fall.

+ Ackerman among top associates for third quarter
Barbara Ackerman, of Coldwell Banker Previews International’s Longboat Key office, was recognized for her third-quarter performance with a letter from Bruce Zipf, president and chief executive for Coldwell Banker NRT. According to the letter, Ackerman ranked 183 out of the company’s 45,000 agents nationwide.

Ackerman was the 2009 recipient of the “Eagle Award” for ranking at the top of Coldwell’s 4,800 Florida agents.

+ Wagner Realty names its top agents for November
Wagner Realty announced its top agents for November. Listing honors went to Jerry Cunningham and Marta Altizer, of the Longboat Key office, and David Moynihan, of the Anna Maria office. Moynihan also received sales honors for the Anna Maria office.

+ LinkedIn selects Michael Saunders to try new feature
LinkedIn, the world’s largest professional networking website, has selected Michael Saunders & Co. as a charter member for its new “Company Pages” feature. The feature is designed to spotlight a company’s standout products, services and culture among professionals.
