Failure to communicate
11:01 p.m. — 1900 block of Harbourside Drive. Welfare Check. Police were called after a woman, who was not approved as a visitor in the gated community, attempted to gain access. The incident was a miscommunication.

Dead to the world
8:43 a.m. — 6500 block of Bayou Hammock Road. Public Service. A Public Works Department employee called police after a car horn was heard blowing constantly. Police entered the unlocked house and made their presence known. The owner of the house finally awoke and said he didn’t hear the knocks on the door or the car horn. He told police the car horn has a faulty wire.
Burn notice
10:33 a.m. — 5500 block of GMD. Property Damage. A town employee reported that there was a small burn mark on the back of the seat of a golf cart seat that’s parked in Joan M. Durante Park.

7:57 a.m. — 4300 block of Chatham Drive. Traffic Violation. A man was placed under arrest for driving without a valid driver’s license.
It’s in the bag
10 a.m. — 2100 block of GMD. Found Property. A woman asked police to check Gulf of Mexico Drive for a Target shopping bag she believed fell off the roof of her car. A town employee located the bag.
Speeding proves costly
5:27 p.m. — 3000 block of GMD. Traffic Violation. A van driver was pulled over for speeding on Gulf of Mexico Drive and was arrested for failing to make child-support payments.

Deck the streets
11:06 p.m. — 500 block of Putter Lane. Highway Obstruction. A bundle of decking material that appeared to have fallen off of a truck was in the middle of Putter Lane. Barricades were put around the material until it could be removed.

Night rider
10:13 a.m. — 4100 block of GMD. Property Damage. A man reported $250 worth of damage to his car’s driver’s side door that occurred in the middle of the night.
Private matter
12:26 p.m. — 6200 block of GMD. Trespassing. A man reported that a fishing boat captain docked his boat on the man’s private dock and allowed his dog to relieve himself on the lawn before leaving. The captain was informed he was not allowed to walk on other people’s property without their permission.
