The No. 3 seed Lakewood Ranch High girls basketball team defeated No. 2 seed Bayshore 49-32 in the Class 4A-District 10 semifinals Feb. 3.
With the win, the Lady Mustangs will travel to top-seeded St. Pete Lakewood to take on the Spartans in the district championship Feb. 5. Lakewood also earned a spot in this year’s regional tournament.
Lakewood got off to a fast start, holding on to a 25-12 halftime advantage. The Lady Bruins cut the Lady Mustangs lead to 30-20 to close out the third quarter before Lakewood finally pulled away in the fourth quarter.
Senior Breanna Lindsey scored a game high 16 points to lead the way for Lakewood.
