+ The Rage now ranked No. 3 in the state
The Braden River Soccer Club’s U14 girls soccer team won the premier bracket of the Orange Classic International Soccer Tournament Dec. 27 to Dec. 30 in Miami.

The Rage defeated Pinecrest Premier Soccer 1-0 to capture their second Orange Classic title. The team defeated the No. 3 team in Connecticut, the No. 5 team in Virginia and the No. 2 team in Florida. With the win, the team is now ranked No. 3 in the state and No. 89 nationally.

+ The Meadows to host Super Senior Grand Prix
The Meadows Country Club will host its second annual United States Tennis Association’s Men’s Super Senior Grand Prix Feb. 15 to Feb. 20.

Tournament matches will be held every day throughout the week with free admission to the public. This year’s event features 16 divisions and more than $2,000 in prize money. Players, ranging in age from 55 to 90 and over, from the United States, Europe and Canada will compete in singles and doubles matches.

The cost for entry, which includes a T-shirt and admission to the player party, is $50 for singles and $35 per player for doubles. The event is open to all USTA members who are in good standing.
