WEEKEND BEST BET: Flag Fest Sarasota

Flag Fest Sarasota will take over the downtown streets from 4 p.m. until midnight, July 4.

The event will feature live entertainment on two stages, carnival rides, games, face painting, pony rides, live street performers and kids’ activities, a ‘50s car show and a firework show.

More than 70 vendors will be on-site with food, drinks and various items available for purchase. The event benefits the Downtown Sarasota Alliance.
