BRADEN WOODS
June 28
5:40 a.m. — 9200 block of 65th Avenue East. Telephone harassment. The victim reported an unknown male called her and said obscenities to her regarding her adult daughter and a sexual act.

11:03 a.m. — 9000 block of 59th Avenue Circle East. Petit theft. The complainant stated she removed the tag from her old vehicle and left it on a chair outside her residence. An unknown person then reportedly took the tag off of the chair before she could put it on her new vehicle.
GATES CREEK
June 26
7 p.m. — 300 block of 111th Street East. Petit theft — auto parts. Unknown person(s) removed the item from the front of the vehicle. The person(s) did not cause any other damage to the vehicle. The vehicle was processed for latent prints.
GREYHAWK LANDING
June 27
4:30 p.m. — 12600 block of Daisy Place. Burglary. Unknown person(s) entered the victim’s screened in pool patio and struck the glass patio door with an unknown object, causing it to shatter. Entry was not made into the residence. The person(s) then fled in an unknown direction by unknown means.

June 27
8 p.m. — 4700 block of Raintree Street Circle East. Vehicle burglary. Unknown suspect(s) entered the victim’s vehicle through an unlocked door without permission. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole several items from inside the center console. The suspect(s) then fled the scene in an unknown direction by unknown means.
SARASOTA
June 25
2 a.m. — 7700 block of Thunderbird Circle. Criminal mischief. The complainant reported an unknown person vandalized his vehicle while it was parked at a friend’s house.
OTHER
June 26
12:01 a.m. — 6500 block of 12th Avenue East. Criminal mischief. The complainant reported unknown person(s) poured paint all over the playground equipment. The manager stated there was no video surveillance of the area.
June 27
6:19 p.m. — 7290 55th Ave. E. (Publix). Uttering a forged or counterfeit bill. According to the store manager, the suspect(s) entered the liquor store section of the grocery store and selected a bottle of vodka. The suspect(s) rendered a $100 bill as payment. The inexperienced clerk utilized the counterfeit detection pen on the bill, and it did not react to the counterfeit bill. The clerk didn’t look at the bill any further and gave the appropriate change to the suspect(s). The store manager received information from several Sarasota stores indicating they had also been victims of counterfeit bills being used in their liquor stores. When the manager checked the bill from the liquor store, he discovered it was counterfeit.

7:16 a.m. — 5500 39th Street East. Criminal mischief. Unknown person(s) cut the chain link fence, which surrounds the drainage maintenance facility. The cut was on the north side of the property near the northeast corner. The fence was cut the entire height, making it possible for a person to get through. Nothing was taken from or disturbed inside the property. It is unknown if entry was made into the property.
2:19 p.m. — 5400 block of 35th Street East. Burglary of an unoccupied dwelling. Unknown person(s) entered the unlocked garage and residence. Once inside, the person(s) stole several items. The person(s) then fled the scene in an unknown direction by unknown means. Various items have slowly been disappearing from the residence but have gone unreported. The victim stated he now suspects the suspect is a person of interest.
