Key Real Estate: Pierre condominium sells for $1,075,000

Fay Seessel, trustee, of Memphis, Tenn., sold Unit 707 at The Pierre condominium, 455 Club Longboat Road, to Francis Bruzda, of Princeton, N.J., for $1,075,000. The 2,410-square-foot condominium has three bedrooms and three bathrooms. The transaction was the largest of the 10 sales recorded during the week of June 21 through June 25, on Longboat, Lido, St. Armands and Bird keys at the Sarasota and Manatee county courthouses, and the sole sale to exceed $1 million for the week.

The 10 sales for the week, which included eight on Longboat Key, two in Manatee County, one on St. Armands Key, and one on Bird Key, represented a slight increase from the prior week, during which eight sales were recorded.

In a second sale at the 66-unit Pierre, Bernice Mahler, of Bingham Farm, Mich., sold Unit 402 to Scott and Kathleen Greig, of New Market, Ontario, for $875,000. The three-bedroom, three-bathroom unit has 2,410 square feet of living space. It last sold for $568,000 in August 1997.

Seaplace
Milo and Abby De Vries, of Spring Lake, Mich., sold Unit G7-301-B in Unit VI of the 461-residence Seaplace, located in the 1900 block of Gulf of Mexico Drive, to David Langhaug for $550,000. Built in 1979, the three-bedroom, two-bath condominium has 1,492 square feet of living space. The unit last sold for $600,000 in January 2002.

Beachplace
Steven and Catherine Singer, of Prior Lake, Minn., sold Unit 502 in Building III of the 336-unit Beachplace, located in the 1100 block of Gulf of Mexico Drive, to Sand Castle 502 LLC, a Florida limited-liability company with a Northbrook, Ill., address, for $405,000. Built in 1981, the 1,392-square-foot condominium has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The unit last sold for $380,000 in June 2001.

Country Club Shores
First United Bank & Trust, of Oakland, Md., sold the home at 521 Ranger Lane in Country Club Shores to Leap Longboat LLC, of Pittsburgh, for $310,000. Leap Longboat LLC is registered to Judy Papernick, 520 Harbor Point Road. The 1,492-square-foot home was built in 1964 with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It last sold for $315,100 in March 2010.

Inn on the Beach
Michael and Barbara Maloney, of Maple Grove, Minn., sold Unit 7203 in Phase III of Inn on the Beach, 225 Sands Point Road, located behind the Islandside gates of the Longboat Key Club and Resort, to Todd and Joan Glogovsky, of Okemos, Minn., for $275,000. Built in 1983, the unit has 642 square feet of living space. It last sold for $439,900 in October 2005.

Spanish Main Yacht Club
In an intra-family transaction, John Riley, successor trustee of the Rose Mary Riley Family Trust, of Orland Park, Ill., sold the home at 610 Spanish Drive S. in the 212-unit Spanish Main Yacht Club, located in the 5700 block of Gulf of Mexico Drive, to Daniel and Kathleen Riley, of Hickory Hills, Ill., for $175,000. The 1,399-square-foot residence has two bedrooms and two bathrooms and was built in 1968. The home last sold for $80,000 in January 1985.

Sutton Place
Duncan Lamont, of New Malden, England, sold Unit 105 at the 80-unit Sutton Place, located in the 4300 block of Gulf of Mexico Drive, to Cynthia and Ronald Sobotka Jr., of Chicago, for $175,000. Built in 1973, the one-bedroom, one-bath condominium has 775 square feet of living space. It last sold for $88,000 in January 1994.

St. Armands
Bruce and Sharon Kasper, of Bradenton, and Carolyn and William Baker Jr., of Atlanta, as tenants-in-common, sold the home at 115 N. Blvd. of the Presidents in the St. Armands Division of the John Ringling Estates to Nelson and Victoria Hernandez, of Alexandria, Va., for $480,000. The home was built in 1953 and has three bedrooms, one-and-a-half bathrooms, a swimming pool and 2,072 square feet of air-conditioned space. It last sold for $525,000 in June 2004.

Lido Surf & Sand
John Setear and Kate Setear, of Charlottesville, Va., sold Unit 705 at Lido Surf & Sand, 1100 Benjamin Franklin Drive, to Timothy and Terri Platt, of Osego, Ill., for $228,500. The 918-square-foot condominium was built in 1976 with one bedroom and one-and-a-half bathrooms.
