More than 55 people beat the heat Saturday, July 10, by attending Temple Emanu-El’s Splash Shabbat — a fun-filled day of prayers, songs, stories and plenty of water activities.

The event, a summer version of the temple’s popular monthly Tot Shabbat program, entertained kids with a wading pool, bubble station, sprinkler and mud station while grown-ups relaxed in the misting area. The celebration wound down with a spirited service and story by Rabbi Brenner Glickman, followed by popsicles and additional playtime.
