The following information was gathered from incident and arrest reports obtained from the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

GREENBROOK
July 21
 8:50 a.m.
— 15000 block of Blue Fish Circle. Vehicle burglary. Sometime between 7 p.m., July 19, and 7:45 a.m., July 20, unknown person(s) entered the victim’s unlocked 2007 Toyota 4-Runner while it was parked in the driveway of her residence. The suspect stole a portable DVD player off the seat. It was valued at about $80.

GREENFIELD PLANTATION
July 19
 11 p.m. 
— 10400 block of Old Grove Circle. Burglary of an unoccupied structure. Unknown person(s) entered the victim’s residence through an unlocked rear sliding patio door. Once inside, the person(s) stole property in excess of $20,000, including jewelry.

July 20
 5:56 p.m.
— 10600 block of Old Grove Circle. Burglary of unoccupied dwelling. The victim reported that sometime between noon and 3:30 p.m., unknown person(s) entered his residence and stole several items, which were valued at $4,030. The responding deputy processed for prints and obtained a total of nine print cards.

HERITAGE HARBOUR
July 19
 2 a.m.
— 800 block of Cedar Harbour Court. Burglary to an occupied dwelling. Unknown suspect(s) took golf clubs valued at about $2,000 and fled in an unknown direction. Nothing else was taken, and there was no sign of forced entry.

July 21
 1:19 a.m.
— 9000 block of Brookfield Terrace. Burglary of an unoccupied dwelling. The victim reported that while she and her family were on vacation, person(s) entered her home, drank some alcohol, drove their car and stole a watch. The value of the property used or taken was $170.

LAKESIDE WOODS
July 20
 7:30 a.m. 
— 5800 Lakeside Wood Circle. Criminal mischief. Several homeowners called to report someone had damaged their mailboxes.

LAKEWOOD RANCH
July 20
 10:15 a.m.
— 6200 block of Lake Osprey Drive. Found property. An individual who collects waste for Waste Management observed four purses in the Dumpster located at the side of listed address. The deputy was able to find the owners of all four purses and they came to collect their items. The purses were stolen from vehicles at the Sarasota YMCA on Tuttle Avenue. It appeared that all credit cards, money and driver’s licenses were the only items missing.

July 20
 7:05 p.m.
— 6200 block of Lake Osprey Drive (Holiday Inn). Fraud. The complainants deposited checks from a mutual friend into their bank accounts. The complainant’s bank said the checks are fake.

ROSEDALE
July 19
 Unknown time
— 5300 block of 96th Street East. Grand theft. The complainant reported that an unknown person stole his wife’s jewelry. The property is valued at about $50,000.

SUMMERFIELD
July 19
 9 a.m.
— 1100 block of Winding Wood Way. Telephone harassment. The victim he reported that he received two phone calls that were threatening in nature and he was concerned for his safety and the safety of his family. The threatening calls were made in Spanish and were received within three minutes of each other. The victim stated he did not know who made the calls.

July 21
 10:22 p.m. 
— 12900 block of Nightshade Place. Auto burglary. Unknown person(s) entered the victim’s vehicle through an unlocked door. Once inside, the subject(s) stole all the paperwork for the vehicle, a small tool kit, a GPS unit and a handgun. The total value of the property is $600.

OTHER
July 21
 8 a.m. 
— 100 block of Rye Road. Auto burglary. The victim left the keys in the truck. Unknown person(s) got in the truck and went on joy riding on the property without ever leaving the property. The vehicle was left there with the keys inside. The suspect apparently ran into an unknown object and dented the bumper. Nothing was taken from the vehicle.
