Kerns posts top kick

Braden River High senior kicker Kadin Kerns participated in the IMG Madden Football Academy earlier this month where he posted the best kickoff distance and hang time of all of the kickers and punters in attendance.

Kerns’ most notable field goal came last season during the Class 3A-Region 3 quarterfinals when he drilled a 24-yard field goal through the uprights in double overtime, propelling the Pirates to a 24-21 victory over Winter Haven.

Southeast’s Brian Poole was named the IMG Madden Football Academy’s Defensive MVP.
