Families kick off summer with picnic

More than 85 members and friends of Temple Emanu-El gathered Saturday, June 19, at Turtle Beach for the second family picnic and Havdalah. In honor of Father’s Day, the event welcomed families with a cookout.

Attendees also played games and relaxed on the beach to watch the sunset. The evening concluded with a musical Havdalah service led by Rabbi Brenner Glickman. The temple’s Brotherhood president, Steven Leavitt, Sisterhood president, Laura Zalkin, and Brotherhood board members Steve Weinberger and Bruce Zalkin co-chaired the event.
