The Temple Beth Sholom School held its annual Purim family carnival Feb. 28. Purim is a festive Jewish holiday that celebrates Queen Esther’s heroic efforts in saving the Jews during ancient times. The event featured game booths, moonwalks, a soccer challenge, obstacle course, a massive rock climb with three challenge levels and a costume contest. And as part of a beanbag-toss game, school-spirited eighth-graders happily volunteered to let the crowd smash pies in their faces.
“I don’t want this to end,” said first-grader Joshua Siegel.
