+ Church breaks ground on new rectory
St. Jude Church held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new rectory Friday, March 19. The building, designed by architect George Palermo, will house the three priests at St. Jude.

Bishop Frank J. Dewane, of the Diocese of Venice, officiated the ceremony and made the first dig. The Rev. Celestino Gutierrez followed suit. Flanked by the Knights of Columbus color guard, master of ceremonies Eugene Dolecki told of the parish’s history and explained how the new facility would benefit the church.
