Marc Monroe got the call on the mound for the Pirates, allowing two runs on two hits while striking out three and walking five. Jerrod Leinhauser pitched the final inning in relief, allowing one hit and two walks while striking out one.
Joey Meador went 1-for-2 with a walk and a run scored; William Patterson went 1-for-2; and Dakota Wilson went 1-for-3 with an RBI to lead the way for Braden River at the plate.

Trisha Zuknick and Hannah Loyer combined for the shutout, allowing three hits and two walks while striking out 11, propelling the Lady Pirates to their 11th win of the season.
Zuknick went 2-for-2 with a double, three walks, an RBI and three runs scored and Courtney Mirabella went 3-for-5 with two RBIs and a run scored to lead the way for Braden River at the plate. Jessica Cordette went 1-for-1 with a double, a walk and a run scored. Nicole Tira went 2-for-4 with a walk, an RBI and two runs scored. Kaycee Wells went 1-for-2 with two walks, a triple, an RBI and a run scored; and Lauren Powell went 1-for-2 with two walks, a double a run scored.

Mirabella went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBIs and a run scored. Kaycee Wells went 2-for-4 with two doubles, three RBIs and a run scored; and Nicole Tira went 1-for-3 with a walk, a double and a run scored.

The Lakewood Ranch boys tennis team saw its 31-match winning streak come to an end with a closely contested 8-7, 8-6 loss at No. 2 doubles.

TRACK AND FIELD
The Lakewood Ranch High girls team continued its domination on the track, scoring 138.50 points to win the North Port Relays Invitational. ODA followed in sixth place and Braden River finished 15th.
Leading the way for the Lady Mustangs were the girls 1,600-and-3,200-meter-relay teams, Leah Wierichs (100 hurdles), Kristen Zarrella (1,600 and 3,200) Olivia Ortiz (1,600), Devin McDermott (800), Alice Assenza (300 hurdles and Natalie Novak (3,200).
Braden River’s Jillian Koenig and Nick Smart both finished third in the pole vault. Alana Rogers won the 200 and Julia Bellanger finished third in the mile for ODA. C. Northrup won the 800 for the Mustangs.
