Sarasota: Cherokee Park home sells for $1.8 million

A home in Cherokee Park tops all real-estate transactions for the week of Feb. 23 to March 2. Cherokee Park #1 LLC sold the home at 1729 Cherokee Drive to Barry and Evelyn Levin, of Sarasota, for $1.8 million. Built in 2008, it has four bedrooms, four-and-a-half baths, a pool and 4,354 square feet of living area.

SARASOTA
Plaza at Five Points Residences
Laverne Kuttner, trustee, sold the Unit 16F condominium at 50 Central Ave. to Thomas and Karen Vartanian, of McLean, Va., for $1.27 million. Built in 2005, it has three bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths and 2,356 square feet of living area.

Desota Park
Charles and Robin Starr, of Sarasota, sold their home at 1819 Datura St. to Mark and Mary Palmer, of Sarasota, for $1.16 million. Built in 2008, it has four bedrooms, five-and-a-half baths, a pool and 4,106 square feet of living area.

Oyster Bay Estates
Rohnhow LLC and Charles Weber sold the home at 1613 Field Road to Paula Morrissey, of Sarasota, for $775,000. Built in 1957, it has three bedrooms, three baths, two half-baths, a pool and 3,292 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $265,800 in 2009.

One Watergate
Morris Apple and Douglas Carpenter, trustees, sold the Unit 13E condominium at 1111 N. Gulfstream Ave. to Lana Granzow, trustee, for $525,000. Built in 1974, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,575 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $175,000 in 1998.

Lawrence and Arlene Bauer, of Sarasota, sold their Unit 617 condominium at 800 N. Tamiami Trail to Clements Ripley and Ruth Stone, of Sarasota, for $385,000. Built in 2007, it has two bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths and 1,830 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $749,500 in 2007.

DJR Island Circle LLC sold the home at 160 Island Circle to Stephen and Ellen Geisel, of Annandale, N.J., for $820,000. Built in 2003, it has three bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths and 2,898 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $666,500 in 2009.

Midnight Cove
James Bonzon and Elaine Bonzon, trustee, sold the Unit 313 condominium at 6342 Midnight Pass Road to Robert Allison, of Ontario, Canada, for $700,000. Built in 1977, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 852 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $850,000 in 2004.

Anne Weintraub, trustee, sold the Unit PH-28 condominium at 5855 Midnight Pass Road to James Landis, trustee, for $550,000. Built in 1976, it has three bedrooms, three baths and 1,593 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $132,000 in 1984.
