It’s hard to resist those irresistible scents of funnel cakes, smoky barbecue and candied apples at the Sarasota County Fair. But it’s that fried food that leaves you foaming at the mouth, craving one more bite. The fair closed March 28, leaving locals with fond memories of sky-high rides that twirled at the speed of light, bluegrass music and several calories in their bellies.
