The Asolo Rep Guild has presented the prestigious Guilder Award annually since 1994 to an area high school in recognition of theatrical project excellence. This year’s winner is Booker High School for “Animal Farm,” directed by Dan Bright.

The award, which was presented Monday, May 3, at the Jane B. Cook Theatre, was established to encourage the development of high-school drama programs and foster their growth and expansion, while also recognizing and honoring innovative and creative theater activities.
