Nine-year-old Paul Labriola may have been principal for the day, but the stresses of the job certainly weren’t causing him any concern as he walked the school campus, walkie-talkie in hand.

"It's awesome," said Braden River Elementary School third-grader. "You get to walk around all day."

On his official day as Braden River Elementary School’s “principal,” Paul arrived on campus at 8 a.m. to help get ready for the day and to orchestrate the arrival of students. After the morning rush ended, he kept busy visiting classrooms, talking on his walkie-talkie and spending time with a small group of friends he picked to spend the day with him. Paul’s younger brother Luke, a kindergartener at the school, also joined in on the festivities.
