Cadets in Braden River High School's JROTC program recently took top honors.

Four cadets — Melinda Lynch, Michael Sheppard, Semaj Dunwoody and Daisy Delatorre — were awarded the JROTC Superior Cadet Decoration Award, the second highest medal awarded by the Department of the Army to Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps cadets. The awarded is presented annually to the outstanding cadet in each leadership education training level.

Additionally, two members of the Braden River Drill Team — Kari Bowman and Candice Poirier, both seniors — attended the National Drill Meet in Daytona and came back with the school's first national championship.
