The following information was gathered from incident and arrest reports obtained from the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

BRADEN WOODS
Reported Oct. 28
 12:24 p.m.
— 9000 block of 68th Avenue East. Burglary to an unoccupied structure. Unknown person(s) forcefully entered the storage shed through the west door. Once inside, a generator was removed. The value of the generator is $600.

MILL CREEK
Reported Oct. 31
 11:24 a.m. 
— 1000 block of 134th Street East. Possession of cannabis. The suspect was arrested for domestic battery. While the responding deputy was getting the information for his arrest, he was given a purse that belonged to the suspect. The stepmother filled out an affidavit stating the purse and its contents belonged to her stepdaughter. The stepmother stated she found the purse under the suspect’s bed. Inventory was done on the purse, which contained three pipes, one Coca-Cola can with a hole in its side and two bags — one of which contained eight grams of marijuana.

MYAKKA CITY
Oct. 27
 5:03 p.m.
— 6000 block of Wauchula Road. No valid driver’s license. The defendant was observed operating a vehicle, heading northbound on Wauchula Road without a tag attached. Post-stop, it was found that the vehicle was not registered or insured per DHSMV records. Further investigation revealed the defendant had no driving history and only had an ID card. The defendant was arrested. The vehicle was released to its owner, who still possessed an open title to the vehicle, which had not been signed by a seller or purchaser.

Oct. 31
 10:08 a.m.
— 37800 block of Clay Gully Road. Trespass warning. The complainant reportedly gave the suspect a trespass warning. The complainant is the grandmother of the suspect’s two children. The suspect has never lived at the residence. The suspect was involved in a domestic dispute at the residence earlier in the day. The suspect’s right fingerprint was obtained.

PANTHE RIDGE
Oct. 28
 7:40 a.m.
— 22400 block of 75th Avenue East. Grand theft. The complainant reportedly alleged the suspect took about $35,000 in jewelry from him while she was at his residence. The responding deputy arrived on scene and saw the defendant throw a cigarette pack in the garbage. During a cursory search of the residence for the jewelry, which the suspect denied taking, the deputy looked inside the cigarette pack that the defendant threw in the garbage and found two small bags of what the defendant admitted was heroin. The defendant was arrested and taken to jail. The suspect denies any knowledge of taking the victim’s jewelry. The jewelry was later found on the defendant and she was charged with grand theft.

SARASOTA
Oct. 30
 11:30 p.m. 
— 6900 block of 42nd Court East. Criminal mischief. Unknown person(s) threw a brick at the rear window of the complainant’s vehicle. The window was tinted and glass shattered on the ground and throughout the vehicle. The victim didn’t hear any noise other than the dogs barking.

OTHER
Oct. 30
 8:50 a.m.
— 7300 block of 52nd Place East. Possession of a controlled substance. The suspect was arrested for battery. Subsequent to his arrest, he was charged for possession of a controlled substance.
