Key Real Estate: Seaplace unit sells for $1.33 million

Martin and Joann Nowak, of Middletown, N.Y., purchased Unit No. G8-309 in Unit VI of Seaplace, 1925 Gulf of Mexico Drive, from Sheila Eddison, of Mount Desert, Maine; Linda Freundlich, of Key Largo; and Jeffrey Fossett, of Williamstown, Mass.; all heirs and lineal descendants of the late Sondra Perloff, for $1.33 million. Built in 1978, the 2,698-square-foot unit has three bedrooms and three bathrooms. It originally sold for $237,800 in January 1979.

The sale was the largest of the six transactions recorded on Longboat, Lido, St. Armands and Bird keys during the week of Oct. 18 through Oct. 22, at the Sarasota and Manatee county courthouses.

Tangerine Bay Club
Margaret Lafley, of Cincinnati, sold Unit 233 at Tangerine Bay Club, 350 Gulf of Mexico Drive, to Richard and Valerie Thackray for $1.05 million. Built in 1992, the 2,581-square-foot unit has three bedrooms and four bathrooms. It last sold for $830,000 in July 2003.

Emerald Harbor
U.S. Bank National Association, trustee, which lists a Simi Valley, Calif., address, sold the home at 5921 Emerald Harbor Drive to Angelo and Marcia Cayo, of Holmes Beach, for $500,000. Built in 1980, the 2,244-square-foot home has four bedrooms and two bathrooms. U.S. Bank took ownership of the home in January in a foreclosure. Previously, the home sold for $800,000 in April 2004.
Bay Harbour

Alice Zimet, Nadine Zimet and Vicki Zimet Daly, all of New York City, sold Unit A206 at Bay Harbour Apartments, 448 Gulf of Mexico Drive, to Sheila Martin for $355,000. Built in 1970, the 1,250-square-foot unit has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The unit sold for $152,500 in March 1993.

Bird Key
Shirley Winter, of Sarasota, sold her home at 114 Seagull Lane in Bird Key to William and Annette Lloyd for $1,325,000. Built in 1969, the 3,480-square-foot home has four bedrooms, four bathrooms and a swimming pool. It last sold for $230,000 in June 1979.

Lido Regency
Lilemor Wenander Moller, of Argentona, Spain, sold Unit 8E at Lido Regency, 1700 Benjamin Franklin Drive, to Jon Hatlegjerde, of Bradenton, for $425,000. Built in 1968, the 1,382-square-foot unit has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It last sold for $130,000 in April 1992.
