Lady Pirates advance to regional semifinal

The Braden River High volleyball team defeated Strawberry Crest 3-0 (25-15, 25-13 and 25-19) in a Class 4A-Region quarterfinal match Nov. 2.

With the win, Braden River (25-3) will face George Steinbrenner in a regional semifinal match Nov. 9.

Kaleigh Jaco led the way for Braden River with eight kills, three digs and an assist. Courtney McDevitt had seven kills, six digs and five aces. Kelley Shiels finished with 16 digs and Brittany Jaco had 13 digs, two kills and two aces. Andrea Zevallios finished with a team high 10 blocks.
