Lady Pirates advance to regional final

The Braden River High volleyball team defeated George Steinbrenner 3-0 in a Class 4A-Region 3 semifinal match Nov. 9.

Brittany Jaco led the way for Braden River with 12 digs and 14 kills. Kelley Shiels recorded 11 digs followed by Lindsay Blake and Natalie Aluise with nine and eight digs, respectively. Nicole Hubbard added five kills.

With the win, the Lady Pirates will travel to Fort Myers Nov. 13 for a rematch of last year’s regional final. The match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
