Lady Mustangs open season perfect

The Lakewood Ranch High girls soccer team opened the season with a pair of victories Nov. 2 and Nov. 8.

On Nov. 2, the Lady Mustangs defeat St. Pete Catholic 3-0. Forward Sarah Miller led the way for Lakewood with a pair of goals and an assist and right midfielder Kaitlyn Wolfe added the team’s final goal.

On Nov. 8, Lakewood posted its second shutout of the season with a 5-0 victory over Riverview.

Miller once again led the way for the Lady Mustangs with four goals and center midfielder Aubrey Riggins scored the team’s final goal. Jo Salmon notched a pair of saves while Wolfe, Riggens and Brianna Reda were also each credited with an assist.
