The Sarasota Observer dropped in on First Presbyterian Preschool Monday, Nov. 22 to witness two long-time teachers — Chris Gantert and Nancy Pagano — receive gifts for a combined 51 years of service to the school, and to watch the little ones belt out songs of thanks. Following their stellar performance, they told us who and what they’re thankful for this year.

Lyla Hays
“My mother, daddy, brother and sister because they love me.”

Clare Messer
“My grandma, my mommy and my brother. We’re going on a big airplane to see my grandma in Michigan.”

Griffin Merrit
“Monster trucks. They are big and loud. Vroom, vroom!”

Emery Lotz
“I’m thankful for Griffin.”

Evie Jasper
“Chocolate and my new sister, Elizabeth.”
