Here’s a bright idea: Get out your holiday decorations. It’s time for The Longboat Observer’s annual “Light Up the Keys” competition. During the second week in December, Observer staff members will be on the hunt for the most festively decorated condominiums in the categories of condominiums with more than 100 units and condominiums with fewer than 100 units for first-place through third-place prizes. All condominiums, along with single-family homes and commercial businesses, can compete for the “Publisher’s Choice” award. Prizes will be awarded Friday, Dec. 10. But, be forewarned: The Castillian and Casa del Mar already have decorations up before Thanksgiving. This year’s competition could be stiff.
