Miniature foam bubbles soared through Siesta Key Saturday, eventually resting on the shoulders, lips and heads of smiling kids and adults attending “Light Up the Village.” Some of the guests thought it was rain, but if they paused to look up, a snow machine was visible from the second floor of a nearby building.

Santa Claus, who arrived by fire truck, dazzled children with his snow-white beard and red jumpsuit as he listened to their Christmas wishes before sending them off to get their faces painted.

In the following video, the Pine View Jazz Band entertains the crowd with some holiday music.
