Sarasota’s real-estate sales in September were down slightly from August, when the market rebounded from a slow July.

Last month’s property sales totaled 547, compared to 567 in August and 554 in September 2009.

Sale prices were virtually unchanged, with the median single-family home price at $155,000. They were $154,500 in August. Condo prices fell a bit with a median sales price of $150,540, compared to $155,000 the previous month.

The Sarasota Association of Realtors said the market has essentially stood still for the past year, seeing only minor month-to-month fluctuations.

“We’ve observed a steady real-estate market for the past 12 months,” said Erick Shumway, SAR president.
