As a gift to their parents, Kari Anne and Erik Olson and Kirsten Olson Koza helped celebrate Walt and Cal Olson’s 50th anniversary with an ice cream-and-cake reception Sunday, Oct. 24, at Excelsior on Siesta Key. Several members of the couple’s original wedding party were in attendance.

The Olsons were married Oct. 22, 1960, at St. Paul on the Lake Catholic Church, in Grosse Pointe Fams, Mich. Walt Olson is a past board member at Excelsior and currently vice president of the Siesta Key Condominium Counsel. He is an avid sailor and golfer. Cal Olson is active with the Sarasota Garden Club and is also a past board member.
